Short review

There are many great Backgammon apps for iOS. I hope you understand that I keep reviews of those that I don‘t find worthwhile short. Backgammon – Board Games, by developer Easybrain is such a backgammon.

In the one match to 5 points I‘ve played against it, here‘s what i found:

• The board design is beautiful; moving checkers is well implemented.
• The app supports money games and matches incl. doubling cube.
• The app shows a lot of ads – both animated ads at the bottom of the screen and videos right in the middle of games.
• The app has a wrong understanding of several backgammon rules: no, you don‘t double after you‘ve rolled. No, the player that won the opening roll doesn‘t roll again. Yes, there is a Crawford rule.
• The app plays a very weak game of backgammon. Basically wants to avoid blots.

I honestly don‘t think there is anybody who I want to recommend this app to.
